Exodus from California “social justice”.
Sounds like the ghost of E. H. Harriman needs to hire some Pinkertons to man those containers with shotgun-toting rent-a-cops to put an end to this plunder.
Great historical references above!
Law and order can return to LA California if enough residents stand up and do the right thing.
I’d rather have them than the FBI!!
A more practical solution is to get as far away from California as possible. There are so many broken aspects to the state that hiring the Pinkertons (or their equivalent) won’t make much difference.
I sold my "forever home" in LA.

I bought it in 2020 planning to keep it for decades. Instead, I left it completely empty for 5 years.
I turned down \~$600,000 in potential rent.
Here is the math on why it’s now safer to earn $0 than to be a landlord in LA. 🧵 pic.twitter.com/8jg8WNCseS
This guy bought his “forever home” in Santa Monica in 2020. Seriously, dude?
First, Santa Monica was broken before California as a whole. Second, California was clearly dysfunctional long before 2020. Yet this guy thought it was a good idea to spend $2M on a house there for, what, sentimental reasons? This guy styles himself as a “Real Estate Investor.”
He should have checked with me. I would have told him to get the hell out of California ASAP, including to divest himself of any and all assets in the state. He fails to mention one important element of his poor decision: California taxes capital gains on California assets to nonresidents if they were resident when the asset was acquired. So, this sophisticated real estate investor had the privilege of giving about 10% of his gross profit to governor Newsom and his merry band of pirates — this, in addition to all the other expenses he listed. On net, this investment was a loser.
