Vacuum Tube Computer Part 27: Mounting the Monster

Each board of the under-construction vacuum tube computer is 70×100 centimetres, and the full computer, including the now-complete processor, storage, program control, and input/output will add up to six boards. With the complete machine dissipating kilowatts of heat, mostly from tube filaments, thermal management is essential, and the desire for all components to be visible and the computer to be able to be transported leads to trade-offs among various possible packaging designs.

Thanks for posting this series. On my list of things to do is to watch the entire series from the beginning. I have a hankering to better understand computer architecture. This seems like a good way to learn that.
