Weekly Space Report: Louisiana!

Highlights:

  • Ship 41 test campaign complete–final inspections before flight

  • Pad 2 scaffolding removed, water deluge tests this week.

  • Booster 21 moved to Pad 2, QDs engaged, successful full duration test fire.

  • Louisiana huge launch complex announcements–no less than ten launch/catch towers. Multiple air separation plants, another Star Factory, and triple-size Giga Bay.

  • Ship 40 recovery and transport update. Video and stills of loading on Forte. Estimated arrival October 8 at Starbase.

  • Pad 1 rebuild update. Trench wall small sections welded up on site prior to placement.

  • No more Starlink missions from Florida after this week’s Starlink 10-49. Only from Vandenburg going forward.

  • Falcon 9: Starlink 10-49, Starlink 15-22.

  • Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope scheduled to launch tomorrow on Falcon Heavy. Wide field of view for visible and near infrared wavelengths.

  • ArianeSpace Ariane6 MTG-I2 mission for ESA

  • Ariane6 Block3 upgrades to 2nd stage canceled.

  • ISS Spacewalk to complete antenna replacement task.

  • Katalyst Space rescue mission to the Swift Observatory failed.
