The hate-filled chatter about Elon Musk’s wealth is most informative to those wishing to observe the big picture. I recall posting a comment when the internet was novel and I was much younger. I don’t remember the specific issue (there are endless examples after all) which, back then showed the extraordinary power of the sin of ENVY to motivate (and drive to derangement) the left. They speak and act as though they believe Musk is motivated by AVARICE. Nothing could be further from the truth!
Again, it is glaringly obvious that the left’s most prominent and obvious psychopathology is PROJECTION: they perpetually accuse others of thinking, feeling or doing precisely what the left thinks, feels and does right in our faces, 24/7/365. In revealed lefty wisdom, there exist NO universal principles which are applicable to all. To the extent any principles may exist, they are strictly situational and such that they may be applied ONLY when they benefit leftist power or denigrate any power or correctness of everyone else.
If there existed any such thing as a media worthy of the name, this overwhelmingly execrable tactic of the left would be headlined all day, every day; that’s because leftists engage in such raw power struggles incessantly and will continue to do so 'til the ends of the Earth.
The fact they’re NEVER called on this obnoxious and fundamentally antisocial behavior, in and of itself, is dispositive of the issue “What is wrong with the (so-called) media”? A current example is obvious in “reporting” of the conviction and sentencing of Karmelo Anthony, a young black man, who stabbed an unarmed young white man to death, claiming “self-defense”. Here are yet more in an endless torrent of “media” reports telling us not that one young man killed another in an immoral and unjustified act of violence. No. The editorial-masquerading-as-news tells us AGAIN that we are all white supremacists and the black man our victim. I can’t recall ever seeing an MSM “report” of a just conviction of a black person for any crime, ever. I have also never seen an MSM analysis of the prevalent culture, acceptance (and even admiration) of violence - especially if whites are the victims. I have though long and deep about these issues - at least since my Salutatory first draft speech was torn up by my (censor) err… “faculty advisor”, because I asked why such a crime (almost identical facts to this one and thousands of intervening ones) could possibly occur in New York City in 1962.
One might think, given the MSM’s regular habit of blaming every other group of most any possible malign intent behind any occurrence - that once in 50 or so years, these omniscient judges might ask whether there might, possibly, maybe be a cultural problem informing the attitudes and actions of young black men. My own hypotheses that this killing resulted from cultural, rather than racial, animus. That’s a distinction with a vast difference. How is it that the so-called “media” have never even considered the possibility?
It wouldn’t take much “investigative reporting” (as is regularly deployed to assassinate the reputations of conservatives of any skin color). My own hypothesis on this subject is the direct result of conversations with several African friends, each of whom lived in the US for 5 years or more. The single thing they could not understand at all was the African-American culture they encountered. These friends felt far more discriminated against (they felt open hostility, in fact) by African Americans than they did from ordinary white Americans, by whom they all felt completely at ease and accepted. They were aghast and puzzled by African American culture (NOT race)! Again, this is a line of inquiry which just begs to be asked, yet it has never been. The explanation for it never happening is obvious, as well: it destroys the MSM’s endless incontrovertible “Narrative” of white supremacy and black victimhood. The NYT succinctly states the left’s continuously-operant principle: “All the news that fits the narrative”.
