US President Donald Trump has withdrawn from the OECD global corporate tax treaty via an executive order issued on Monday, declaring that the agreement has “no force or effect” in the United States. The move threatens global tax cooperation and could derail a historic effort to reform international tax rules.
The treaty, announced in October 2021, was signed by 140 countries representing over 90% of global GDP, including major economies such as China, the UK, Germany, France, Japan, and Türkiye. It aimed to impose a minimum 15% tax rate on multinational corporations with global revenues exceeding €750 million ($780.5 million), such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta (Facebook), starting in 2024.
Donald Trump repeated his demand to be given control of Greenland in a “horrendous” phone call with the prime minister of Denmark.
The US president spoke to Mette Frederiksen for 45 minutes last week and became aggressive when he was told that Greenland was not for sale, the Financial Times reported. Trump again threatened to impose punitive tariffs on Denmark if it refused to give up its autonomous territory in the Arctic.
Frederiksen offered closer co-operation with the US on military bases and mineral exploitation on the island, but senior European officials said Trump balked at the offer, demanding full US control.
We should leave NATO then purchase Greenland with or w/o Danish permission. Give money to the government in Greenland and ignore Denmark.
AT least stop funding NATO until other members have caught up their funding to what was deemed their share when it was founded.
Correction #1: they are no longer conservatives in any sense of the word. Many of them have openly switched sides to become Democrats, while others are merely crypto-dems. Furthermore, there’s nothing virtuous about them. They do always lose; the tweet (xeet) got that part right. Thank goodness for that.
Correction #2: MAGAs are no longer playing by leftist rules. If there was any doubt, it should have evaporated over the last seven days. It’s more like take no prisoners.
Peter O’Toole is doppelganger for Glenn Close?
Could be. She was a remarkably unattractive woman for a movie star. That manjaw!
Hmmm https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/tulsi-gabbard-science-of-identity-qi-group-ed51c890
Gabbard’s parents are followers of Butler, a former Hare Krishna disciple who founded Science of Identity Foundation in Hawaii in the 1970s. They raised Gabbard in the group, said former followers, who described Butler’s demands of fealty. Some adherents mixed Butler’s toenail clippings into their meals, two former followers said, as a sign of devotion. Others used his shoes as prayer totems, they said.
“Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination to serve as President Trump’s director of national intelligence hinges on questions about the judgment and patriotism …”
SenateScum questioning the patriotism of anyone?
Given the abject failure of Congress to represent the American people, or even to look after the vital interests of the American people, such questions demonstrate a level of hypocrisy which will have to be answered for on the Day of Judgment!
They’re too busy making super-profitable insider trades and trashing those failing to utter liberal pieties with sufficient enthusiasm, to engage in actual legislating or governing.
1 hour and 14 minutes
This is a fantastic, engaging, informative and important interview!
We need a President who embraces technology.
We need a President who has a coherent strategy for China.
Smears in a regime propaganda outlet. Same BS, different day.
It never ceases to amaze me than anyone takes them seriously anymore: perfect illustration of Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect. However much you hate corporate journalists, it is not enough. AJAB

Canada-US Trade: Getting Up To Speed:
- Exports to the US were responsible for roughly 19% of Canadian GDP in 2023.
Mr Trump appears to be able to get their attention.
I’ve long since disabused myself of the notion that anything that takes place in politics or on the public stage is in any way genuine or to be taken at face value. All this BS is just the political version of WWE—Trump vs. Vince McMahon—where everyone is just playing their assigned role (hero vs. villian). I’m so sick of this shit and obvious manipulation (of all sides).
Even if that’s the case — and I’m not denying it is — the political theater provides clues about what’s happening inside the Regime. Like Kremlinology in he old days, Regimology provides some insight. For whatever reason, there has been a vibe shift, of which this is but one example.
