What's to be done - European edition?

The days are getting shorter, and the northern hemisphere is getting colder. The Middle East is getting more complicated, with Saudi Arabia under attack from Houthis in the Yemen and Islamists in Iraq (presumably both using missiles provided by their friends in Iran). Europe’s energy supplies are shrinking – solar panels being of lesser use in dark winter days. Not a good time to be a European.

There is an obvious solution – although it is not discussed in polite circles. Europe tells Zelensky to concede to Russia’s demands in the Ukraine. Europe closes its borders with the Ukraine, thereby stopping the missile attacks on Russian refineries which have sent the price of diesel soaring. Europe cuts off funding for the Ukrainian regime. If all of that fails, Europe’s mighty armies invade the Ukraine and shake hands with the Russian armies on the Dneiper.

In parallel, Europe reaches agreement with Russia on supplying oil and gas. The one of the four NordStream pipelines which the Norwegians/English/US failed to blow up can be opened immediately. Russian oil can reach European refineries without going anywhere near the Middle East.

Russia’s demands for this would be fairly simple. NATO withdraws to its 1990 borders. All sanctions removed. The Russian funds that Europe stole restored.

Because energy is a globally-traded commodity, restoration of Russian energy supplies to Europe would lower prices for the rest of the world – and render the situation in the Middle East less critical.

Entirely rational and sensible - but a non-starter for the globalists whose singular aim is destruction of representative government as it presently exists in the West. Better economic collapse and many, lethal wars than these honorable people not having their way. There’s a parallel in Israel in the past few days. Treasonous Israeli film makers defame the IDF in a time of ongoing wars of annihilation against their country. I scan the Israeli newspapers most days. Their main product is defamation of Netanyahu and Likud. Better Israel become extinct than the left not be in total control. Does this ethos remind you of the left in the US (and Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, etc.)? These people clearly prefer a new Caliphate to a majority (NOT them), democratically elected government. That may just succeed. Their ‘victory’ should it occur, will be short-lived. They and their vocal constituencies will head the line (pun intended) at the guillotines (scimitars will prove far too inefficient for the required numbers). I wish them and their bedrock identity politics, the best under sharia. For now, it’s merely “one nations under heckler’s veto”.

This is an eminently reasonable resolution of the conflict, and thus, it has little chance of realization. The political class appears to be allergic to reasonable. From a parochial, Western Hemisphere point of view, let the Slavs work out their problems amongst themselves. If the rest of Europe wants to meddle in this goat rodeo, I say have at it and suffer the consequences. Not one more US dollar, Patriot missile battery, or Humvee thrown down the metaphorical toilet.
