It’s a common perquisite for the boss to have a corner office on the top floor, but how cool is it to have the corner office on every floor, courtesy of the Otis Elevator Company? It was installed in Baťa’s Skyscraper in Zlin, now in the Czech Republic, completed just in time for the Germans to seize the country and force the owner to flee before ever getting a chance to use it.
The office-elevator, including air conditioning, telephones, and a sink, still works today and is a tourist attraction viewable by the public.
