Fair enough, though you’d be surprised to know how many outlets are miswired. It’s not 50/50 but it might be 20/80.
It still shocks me to see people wearing masks. In NormalWorld, I hardly ever see them but they are remarkably abundant at airports, especially KBOS.
If any behavior on the part of the Usual Suspects could shock me, then I would agree with you. But culture comes into this as well as intelligence & education (lack thereof).
Long before the CovidScam, a common sight in international airports was to see a planeload of young Japanese women disembarking … the majority wearing masks. Maybe it was fashion, since their Japaneseness suggested both intelligence & education?
Mask-wearing was common on the streets of Japan long before the WuFlu panic. It’s an independent cultural trend and not confined to airports. And, yes, it’s predominantly women. Not to stray too far off topic but the women element is readily explainable in both cases.
On my trips to South Korea over 20 years ago, it was also common, but in reverse.
If the person had the flu, a cold, or some other related ailment THEY would be the ones wearing a mask as not to spread it to others.
But on the subject of masks, I present…
In this vein, I came across this today:
The N95 is the baizou burka.
Baizou is a brilliantly concise way of describing these individuals.
That could be very well true. Looking closely I noticed there was only a single screw holding the cover to the " New Work Metal Electrical Wall Box " where there should have been two. That being said, I now have doubts as to the proper wiring of the outlet because that makes it look shoddy.
BTW: I’m an old “sparky” from years ago. My first rewire and passed inspection of a residential 6-room house was in May of 1970. That was, jeepers, fifty four years ago !!! ![]()
No doubt, the vast majority of professional sparkies would not miswire an outlet but there are lots of DIYers who don’t know a neutral from a ground and or why a polarized plug looks funny.
Obama got one for less effort.
