On 2022-08-26, Eric Salwan, co-founder and director of Business Development at Firefly Aerospace, developers of the Firefly Alpha small satellite launcher, met with the Foresight Institute space group to discuss the bumpy history of Firefly, the Alpha rocket design and manufacturing process, the company’s plans for a Space Utility Vehicle, larger medium launch vehicle and alliance with Northrop Grumman to replace the first stage of the Antares launcher, and lunar payload delivery for NASA.
