If Trump dies from his wound…..

THAT goes a ways in explaining why it was such a cluster. I realize there is an assumption in there - that had it been regular guard-type SS things would have been run differently. That might be a reach, but knowing how to assess terrain is not a common skill. So if the people in charge just didn’t know better, it could explain why they left an obvious shooting platform a mere 150 or so yds away totally unattended. BUT it would also imply there was collaboration from higher ups. That would be really disturbing, criminal even, and so far it seems no one will be held responsible.

Typical modern government.

And for all its obvious, frequent failures, when it comes to companies and persons government regulates, absolute perfection is demanded. Failure to comply and they are bankrupted or jailed (depending, of course, on their politics).

I am going to steal a copy of Carl Schmitt’s The Concept of the Political before shoplifting becomes illegal again in California.

Much to unpack:

Burried in para.33. n.:

n. Also according to SHAKERI, in approximately mid-to-late September 2024, IRGC Official-1 asked SHAKERI to put aside his other efforts on behalf of the IRGC and focus on surveilling, and, ultimately, assassinating, former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump (“Victim-4” herein). SHAKERI indicated to IRGC Official-1 that this would cost a “huge” amount of money. In response, IRGC Official-1 said that “we have already spent a lot of money… [s]o the money’s not an issue,” which SHAKERI understood to mean that the IRGC previously had spent a significant sum of money on efforts to murder Victim-4 and was willing to continue spending a lot of money in its attempt to procure Victim-4’s assassination.

It’s hard to believe it could’ve really been that difficult and expensive to kill him; he’s kind of a conspicuous target!

AND continues to be. BUT we now have JD to take over, and while he may not be The Don, he IS formidable. He would certainly benefit from tutelage from DJT, but he could step in on his own. And retribution to Iran for such an act would be justified. You don’t assassinate a Head of State blithely.
