With Tesla’s version 12 self-driving software, which is said to replace all programmed logic with neural networks trained from human driving behaviour, on the horizon, Tesla continues to refine its existing software.
This test drive in the San Francisco Bay area is in a car equipped with Tesla’s “Hardware 4” sensors and computer. At present, software for Hardware 4 is lagging that of Hardware 3, installed in most of the Teslas on the road.
