I once got SWATTED in the Diet Coke of SWATTING. The caller gave a description that covered a few different of places in the town. So the already-skeptical police went to each for a cordial knock and talk knowing that odds were against anything bad at any particular place in any event.
My assumption is that the caller was targeting one of the other places but felt that if they were sufficiently specific it might draw attention to them as a known enemy of a resident of the target. I was just collateral damage.
