There is more in the paper linked, you can read it for yourself and determine whether there is sufficient upside to JYNNEOS vaccine to take it. The way the paper reads, the studies that were analyzed only monitor seroconversion, not actual vaccine efficacy. ACAM2000 is not a walk in the park either, with the high rate of myocarditis.

When needing to prove your “eggspertness” it’s always helpful to point to the exceptions to the rule to make your case that the rule is wrong.

Correct, there indeed are bisexual males. It’s important to note that mpox spreads by nonsexual means as well.
But the claim that only LGBT+ crowd is at risk is like saying that only Chinese are at risk of COVID in January of 2020.
First off, if you couldn’t tell by the context of what I wrote, it was a bit more of a joke than it was a “claim that only [Alphabet People]” get it. But, since you bring up the absolute, I stand by my comment in that if you don’t want to get this, then the best, number one step in that direction is to…not be a homosexual male. That reduces your chances of catching this by leaps and bounds.
conversely, your saying that a handful of children catching this is proof positive that EVERYONE (hey if you can use hyperbole so can I) is at risk is like saying that because there was a handful FBI agents at J6 means everyone at J6 was an FBI agent. Not to mention you are basing your argument on the prospect that at some future time children and women who catch this is going to grow to surpass the Alphabet People’s susceptibility to this (again I am exercising your rule for hyperbole).
This is the fact: this thing is/was primarily spreading amongst homosexual men and so long as you are not a homosexual man you probably won’t get it. However, if you are a homosexual man, you ARE going to get it and if you are a closeted homosexual man, your family runs the risk of getting it. Aside from the freak occurrences of regular ol run of the mill boring heteros getting this, the overwhelmingly at risk population is…homosexual men.

HIV started mostly among homosexual men, but now ~60% of infections are among women in regions of Africa. It’s a statistical and epidemiological fallacy to ascribe the risk to a group it initially superspread in. See this article: Monkeypox won’t remain an MSM disease, stop treating it that way
Without a clear eradication campaign that could have been done inside this group (instead regurgitating the failed vaxxmaxx strategy employed also for COVID), the disease has spread outside, and it will be far more difficult to even contain, leave alone eradicate.

From the standpoint of diplomacy and international law, there are reasons one might want to declare war even if there is no intention of engaging in hostilities. A declared state of war allows one, for example, to intern foreign nationals in one’s territory, seize ships in port or territorial waters, freeze assets, and forbid commerce with the enemy. It also serves to put the leadership of the declared enemy on notice that they may have done something really stupid in, for example, throwing in with Nazi Germany when it was at war with the British Empire.

Had Finland really been stupid? It is difficult to sort out all the double-dealing that was going on at that time. However, it seems that the price of England doing a deal with the USSR was that the USSR’s enemies then had to become England’s enemies – no matter how lackadaisical Perfidious Albion was about actually engaging them.
Given the choice of supporting Hitler or supporting Stalin, England chose to support Stalin. Apparently Hoover’s proposed choice of stepping back and leaving the two of them to it was not an option that England considered. Even the “Good War” was morally very distasteful.

Total EU gas consumption before their stupid sanctions was running around 400 Billion standard cubic meters per year, around 1,100 million standard cubic meters per day. The flaring amounts to less than half a percent of the gas that Europe could be using if they had not launched an economic war against their main supplier.
There could be a lot of good operational reasons for the flaring, such as depressurizing long pipelines from Siberia. Maybe Gazprom chose to do the necessary flaring at that border location to poke a finger in the eye of energy-hungry Europeans? Perhaps some of the Europeans ought to ask themselves who exactly is suffering from the sanctions they chose to impose. (Hint – not Russia).

OR Biden could have continued previous energy policy and Russia (Russia! Russia!) would not have much of a market for their stuff.
