To bad she did not mention the 2nd Amendment.

In other news, @1789Libertarian will be unavailable for several hours.

He should have introduced “Wet Dog” and then said “you can pay with Doge.”

This Tulsi Gabbard Show episode is like a 95th+ percentile Republican speech.

She appears to have done an about-face and become pro-2A. Lying?

Looks like I can even order it from here in Egypt. Wonder how it’d hold up against the ever-present aroma of burning garbage?

My thing with Tulsi is that I think she is sincere. I don’t think a person puts themselves through what she (or even Trump) has been put through unless she means it. Rush used to say that no one can withstand the hate and vitriol of taking an unpopular public stance on something for very long unless they mean it because human nature is such that it is not conducive to nonstop ridicule or being isolated. I tend to agree.

So with the 2nd Amd, Tulsi has never voiced the type of insanity that someone like that fart sniffer Beto has or any of the brain dead idiots in Congress. She has always mouthed the “sensible gun laws” mantra, but unlike other Democrats you can’t find video of her telling her supporters in settings that she thinks won’t get out to the general population that “hell yes we are going to take away your AR-15s”!! (That was Beto by the way.)

Zerohedge has a good piece up about Tulsi that hits on this too. Basically, she was taken to the mountaintop of Davos and offered the world and she turned it down. That takes courage and sincerity. I don’t fear Tulsi because I think she is legitimately open minded and willing to talk through issues, unlike Biden, Pelosi, Chuck U Schumer, or even Cocaine Mitch. Tulsi is a prettier, smarter, and more engaging version of Trump. Believe that.

Old time liberals (who are an endangered species today) were often the ones who spotted things that were wrong. Old time conservatives were the ones who “fixed” it.

I view Tulsi as an Old time liberal. I believe she is sincere. I believe her current stance is in keeping with her previous ones - mostly (pols all wind up bending a bit). I would welcome her to the Republican Party - especially if we can remold the Republicans to not be the party of Big Business.

I will say this: I agree with her underlying foundational idea on how to address our national problems, which is that we cannot begin to tackle the domestic questions at the federal level until we address the stupidity of interventionist foreign policy. In many respects, I think the same way. How can Mitch and the gang chastise Biden about spending when Mitch and the gang are some of the most prolific spenders of tax dollars in areas like war and corporate welfare? If the GOP wants to have a serious discussion about the $31 trillion debt, then they need to stop automatically signing off on DOD budgets that are 6, 7, 800 billion every freaking year when we run deficits averaging close to a trillion! You want to end welfare queens buying crack on the corner of some block in Baltimore? Then you need to be willing to take that brand new, $2000 9 iron out of the hands of the Lockheed exec.

(edit) Alex Jones responds:

They want to scare everybody away from freedom, and scare us away from questioning Uvalde and what really happened there, or Parkland or any other event. And guess what? We’re not scared, and we’re not going away, and we’re not going to stop

I have a conspiracy theory that she will be run as a third party candidate to pull votes from Trump if he runs/is nominated.

The fear of populism by the elite runs deep.

Like I say about those that fled California. You thought the way you voted would not lead to this? Sure there are some that voted correctly, but as you can witness time after time. As soon as they move to a new location, they start down the same path. Good intentions with lack of foresight is a bad combo.

If she doesn’t run as a third party candidate, I will give her all the kudos, but until then I will remain skeptical.

That could be her WEF role to play. Seriously, if the Davos crowd need corrupt politicians like Biden in office, Tulsi the young global leader would be able to do just that by your scenario.

She could be the rare third-party candidate who seriously believes she has a chance to win, unlike those who mainly serve as spoilers to help Democrats.

On the one hand, none of those spoiler types have ever focused so harshly against Democrats. On the other hand, we don’t have a mea culpa, and we don’t have admissions that the Republicans were right on many issues.

We have to look at what people (even Republicans) do rather than what they say. Some Republicans do indeed occasionally say the right things. But when the Institutional Republicans quite recently had control through a Republican President, Senate, and House, what did they do?
Did they build the wall and enforce immigration law?
Did they roll back excessive regulation?
Did they reform civil service rules to make it easy to fire incompetents & political activists?
Did they eliminate unconstitutional FedGov departments?
Did they cut FedGov spending?
Did they take an axe to the tax code?

Anyone who pins his hopes on the Institutional Republicans is deliberately ignoring the lessons of experience!

Last week, Tulsi Gabbard posted a montage of herself shooting guns, including an AR-15, which she has previously called to ban. Here is an archived page from the defunct website votetulsi.com boasting about her gun control advocacy. These were her official positions just two years ago.

Gabbard is a WEF Young Global Leader. Strangely, her name does not appear on the current alumni list. However, she does appear as an alumnus on archived pages, which are accessible via the Wayback Machine.

Interestingly, no UK politicians on the list but Viktor Orban is. Musk and Thiel are there.
