The Crazy Years

The image is a screenshot of this 3D render – not produced by SIG.

However, SIG handguns are currently under scrutiny for alleged safety issues.

Shame really. sig used to be a very reliable side arm.

Well, now that you mention w, it kind of does look like NW. But I’d still like to see the actual gun. Photos can be deceiving.

As @magus noted. It is a third party rendering. A very good one even showing wear of the coating.

ALL striker fired pistols have had NUMEROUS suits for “spontaneous discharge”. GENERALLY these have been found to be BS. The 320 is not really any different. USUALLY what you find is some version of mishandling. Part of the problem is that most of these have occurred while REholstering. That actually offers the best opportunity for pressing the trigger accidentally. But it’s still YOUR fault. I know of one case of actual discharge and Sig determined it was due to worn out spring.

I don’t personally carry a striker gun. But I’m old school so I like hammer guns. The DA/SA guns allow safe carry with a round in the chamber and easy res trike for a failure to fire. Often a restrike will fire the round. I carried a 1911 for many years but think the Sig hammer guns give the best combination of safety, modification, and ease of fire.

The seven European teams didn’t wear their arm bands into the stadium there to be beheaded by scimitar-wielding Mullah High Executioner. We may therefore conclude that we do not live in a simulation that maximizes entertainment.

Twitter users point out that in one of the photos, this document is visible:

Which is an apparent reference to Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition.

“Following the devaluation of cryptocurrencies, a free trade deal with China could benefit El Salvador economically. But some fear that it puts the country’s sovereignty up for sale.”

This is not “Crazy Years”. This is a competent government (China) looking to its long-term interests (i.e., surrounding the threatening USA with friendly allies) by taking advantage of particular situations to advance its position. And all this without the risk of triggering WWIII by sponsoring a proxy war on the borders of a nuclear-armed country.

On second thought, this is “Crazy Years”, except that the crazy party is not El Salvador or China.
