The “Silent Generation” is actually “The Worst Generation”. They created the Boomers. They took the Boomers away from their “Greatest Generation” parents. They literally and figuratively were Charles Manson to the Boomer Squeaky Fromme.

These opinion poll results mean little since they are merely regurgitated talking points from leftist media and academia, rather than being based on an examination of facts and the application of reason. As such, they are ephemeral and can be readily reversed by counter-propaganda.
Seizure of the means of cultural production is the key to reversal. Musk’s acquisition of Twitter is a first step. Crippling USAID and the Department of Education are next steps. There’s a long road ahead but it took the Left many years to complete their takeover of the institutions. Success is by no means guaranteed but it is possible.
This poll dates from five years ago. Longitudinal data on the favorability of the term socialism vary by about 10 percentage points over the interval 2018 to 2020 (p 13), which illustrates the volatile nature of these opinions. Who knows what the results might be five years on.
