These opinion poll results mean little since they are merely regurgitated talking points from leftist media and academia, rather than being based on an examination of facts and the application of reason. As such, they are ephemeral and can be readily reversed by counter-propaganda.
Seizure of the means of cultural production is the key to reversal. Musk’s acquisition of Twitter is a first step. Crippling USAID and the Department of Education are next steps. There’s a long road ahead but it took the Left many years to complete their takeover of the institutions. Success is by no means guaranteed but it is possible.
This poll dates from five years ago. Longitudinal data on the favorability of the term socialism vary by about 10 percentage points over the interval 2018 to 2020 (p 13), which illustrates the volatile nature of these opinions. Who knows what the results might be five years on.

I call BS on this thing. Many of the people I follow are in the chaotic/evil corner. That includes Musk and DataRepublican. It also includes other totally reasonable researchers.

I wonder what their definition of robot includes. Do automated checkouts count? Tap to pay is a programmable, precise automation that allows stores to process customers faster. Are all cars that have some self driving capability? How about self driving tractors? Or crop spraying drones? How about an automated article?
I think most people think of a robot as the humanoid looking thing versus robotics which is programmable automation.
This type of automation has and will continue to put more people out of work than a humanoid looking robot.
I really dislike when people do not appropriately label a graph.

This is Far Left virtue signaling, nothing more. Note that Newsom actually went to court to try to keep Trump from squashing these “MPP’s”. How’s that for hypocrisy.
