Interestingly, my efforts to reach out to Christian fundamentalists increasingly starts with them asking me if I believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God – including a person last night with whom I’ve been attempting to “break the ice” locally for almost 3 years.
It’s difficult to deal with this but not as difficult as dealing with those who, if they had sufficient integrity, would make the first interaction be “Do you believe January 6th was an insurrection?”
I like my fundie “brethren” for this reason. I can say “No, I don’t.” and that doesn’t terminate the conversation – nor does it necessarily hamper our ability to find common ground almost immediately.
Where we seem to depart company is about “interpretation” of not just what “The Word of God” means but of what consists “The Word of God”. I do NOT want to mess with their perhaps precarious hold on an anchor in the storms that threaten to swamp us all. I’m ruthless about this to the point that in my interaction I set forth my willingness to sell and move if the local community sees my minority view as incompatible with their strongly held beliefs about what it takes to raise the next generation relatively free from the malign influences that are terminating their bloodlines in grandaughters that want to be boys.
The question “What Do the Jews Represent?” is pretty clear:

Because of the inadequate resistance to a world without borders among “The Jews” and the essential role that “The Jews” have played in my lifetime and yours in destroying the United States of America through immigration, “The Jews” have come to represent that aspect.
