The US is in the role of the Soviet Union and the Western European satrapies as the Eastern European countries. Once again, I’m reminded of my former naive view of how history worked. Back then, I could not understand why, whenever there was a successful revolution, job one was execution of outgoing leaders - heads on spikes kind of thing. When I become aware of disgusting acts of those in authority nowadays, I better understand what motivated such historical events.
