From 1935—Building a Steam Locomotive in Britain

The full title of the film is “No. 6207, A Study in Steel—Building an Engine of ‘The Princess Royal’ Class at the Crewe Works of the LMS [London, Midland & Scottish] Railway”. The Crewe Works was built in 1840 by the Grand Junction Railway and still operates today, on a much reduced scale, under the ownership of French company Alstom SA.
