Just, ah, to give everybody a little breather here: we are eating tomatoes warm from the garden; the cattle are fat and happy; gladiolus bloom has been fabulous this year; our county fair improved its oxen event from boring ox-pull to “ox team versatility;” the elderflower and elderberry harvests have both been excellent, so there will be no problem with the winemaking; carpenters engage if one is patient; it rained finally; the barns are full of hay; there’s plenty of wood if we just get it in; pumpkins are still making good pies.
It doesn’t have to be a “vacuum”. It just has to have a similar density to what airplanes have to push themselves through.
“Vacuum” was their word – probably for a reason. An airplane pushes air out of the way. A pod (piston) in an enclosed tube will inevitably build up a higher pressure air bank ahead of it. Imagine the air pressure at the Edmonton end of a tube where the piston started in Calgary!
You may be correct, but the more likely situation is that the proponents use of the word “vacuum” was deliberate – and essential.
Okay, here’s a good one for this topic:
From the article:
It listed examples of “covert white supremacy” as “calling the police on black people,” “education funding from property tax,” “English-only initiatives,” “mass incarceration,” the term “all lives matters” and “treating kids of color as adults.”
Emphasis added.
Thus it must not be white supremacy to treat adults of color as kids. Perhaps this is preemptive cover for when Joe Biden reverts to calling black men “boy”.
Yes the things that are now considered KKK dogma were once considered pillars of civilization. Go figure. It’s no wonder inner cities in America are bigger shit holes than the shit holes of Africa referenced by Trump all those years ago.

From Canadian Manufacturing, 2022-05-26: “Aspire Food Group completes production of manufacturing facility”
On May 26th, Aspire Food Group announced that it has completed construction of its alternative protein manufacturing facility. London, Ontario is now home to the world’s largest cricket production facility.
Aspire’s new plant will reportedly produce 9000 metric tons of crickets every year for human and pet consumption. That’s about two billion insects to be distributed annually across Canada and throughout the United States.
Aspire also reports that it already has orders for the next two years.
Crickets are currently being explored as a protein-rich superfood. They contain fibre and are already found in grocery stores and restaurants, and have a smaller environmental footprint than traditional protein sources.
Did you know there is a North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture?
I’ve been served cricket flour cookies not knowing what they’re made of, and they were pretty good.
Sadly at the same time Poland is becoming Germany, UK, and France combined.
Were you forced to eat it? Were you forced to eat it because a bunch of rich, douche bags decided that you were to eat bugs while they got to eat nice juicy filet mignon? Were you forced to eat it because these same douche bags created a situation in which the price of actual flour (in your case) was artificially driven up to a cost-prohibitive price? Well you said it yourself you didn’t know. It’s one thing to be “tricked” so to speak, or to do it willingly as a novelty. It is quite something different when a bunch of Globalist scum FORCE you to do it through various machinations under the guise of “it’s for your own good.” That plant John posted about is the WEF’s giant middle finger to the Middle Class of the West telling them “zou vill havzta eat zee bugs.”
You can take people out of a market, but you can’t take the market out of people. Yes, some might dislike laws of physics, but it doesn’t mean that you can do anything about it. Being in sync with reality (or realistic lasting future reality if an entrepreneur, innovator, or change-maker) is always the better choice.
Oh I agree. That is why I am taking up hunting as a means of not eating bugs against my will. Reality is what it is. So I pray, love my family, and kill bambi because Klaus vants me to eat zee bugs.
Many people who are repelled by the thought of eating terrestrial insects consider shrimp, which as marine arthropods that aren’t all that different in internal construction from crickets and cockroaches, a delicacy.
In Africa for the 2001 solar eclipse, I tried “mopane worm”, which is actually the caterpillar of an emperor moth called Gonimbrasia belina. Some people consider them a delicacy. I rated them “all right”, cooked in a stew, but I don’t think shrimp fishermen have much to worry about from the competition.
Nice try John, but I ain’t lettin’ science get in the way of me defying Klaus.
And yes, for your info, I love me some shell fish. I like shrimp skewers on the grill with some colorful bell pepper, red onion, and jalapenos. GOOOOOODdddddd! I also enjoy smoking scallops. You really have to be on the ball though or they turn into little rubber hockey pucks. Can’t be too hot and can’t let them sit too long.
Fiber? In crickets? I can hardly imagine chitin ever being appetizing. Nonetheless, the politically-funded drones are out there “reimagining” the “science” and claim to have found chitinase in human gastric juice. If you have hemorrhoids (which are actually varicose veins with fragile walls in an especially inconvenient location), do use due care prior to ingesting chitin-containing food. Imagine, for a moment, eating shrimp with the shells intact and follow them (only in your imagination, please) as they wend their way through your digestive tract. What happens when they reach the aboral end?
Also, with those shrimp you are not grinding them up whole.
I like a hamburger, but I would not want to throw a cow in a wood chipper and eat what gets discharged.
I don’t know why, but that visual made me chuckle.
I somehow doubt they ‘skin’ the crickets during processing - especially if they claim they are a ‘super food’ with fiber. Apodemes (the insect equivalent of tendons) are also made of chitin.
