The Crazy Years

Yes, ostensibly in protection of an event (Pride Parade) that is, at its very core, an intentional offense to the sensibilities of “normies.” Black is white and white is black.

That photo does really encapsulate the end of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Set – bored police officers, masked like desperados, standing uselessly in the English rain, not even picking up the litter on the road in front of them.

It is a good thing there is no crime in England which would require the welcome assistance of real police constables.

Austria to “cushion inflation” by printing, giving away €500 to all residents. ABC News reports, “Austrian government presents package to cushion inflation”:

The Austrian government on Tuesday presented a package of measures aimed at cushioning the impact of high inflation that includes 500-euro payments for all residents and a three-month delay to a new levy on carbon dioxide emissions.

The government, a coalition of Chancellor Karl Nehammer’s conservatives and the environmentalist Greens, put the price of immediate measures at about 5 billion euros and said the package will cost a total of 28 billion euros through 2026. It says it aims to bring relief first to people on low incomes; the unemployed and people on low pensions are slated to get a payment of 300 euros each.

So, with prices rising at a rate of around 8% per year due to borrowing and printing money, they’re going to “cushion” the impact by—borrowing and printing €28 billion more. Well, who am I to question the wisdom of this? Austria has plenty of experience with inflation.

What is sad here is that if Austria would just look toward one of its most prominent sons, they would be fine: Ludwig von Mises.

Can you imagine the righteously indignant headlines and snark if a (R) President were non compos mentis, like this (D)?

Idiots. Fixed it for you.

Seriously the vast majority of journalists—the “household” name-types—are severely mentally challenged. It takes a special kind of stupid to lie like they do.
